We are seeking a Merchandise Manager who will report to the Director of Golf and work closely with the Head Golf Professionals. The merchandiser position is a full time, 12 month position. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide exceptional customer service;
• Meet with vendors to purchase merchandise as it pertains to the open to buy and budget;
• Merchandising of all apparel and accessory items for both the Canyon and Meadow Golf Shops;
• Conduct monthly physical inventories and providing timely information to the Director of Golf and Accounting;
• Provide promotional ideas to increase golf shop revenue while controlling inventory;
• Process, approve and code all invoices in a timely manner to meet terms;
• Receive, price, and enter all merchandise into the inventory computer;
• Oversee special order processes to ensure efficient and reliable service;
• Provide creative displays and promotional ideas;
• Formulate pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales, and studying trends;
• Develop and execute seasonal merchandise plans (OTB), visual presentation guidelines and pricing strategies;
• Work in the Golf Shops as scheduled by the Head Golf Professionals;
• Submit materials for Merchandiser of the Year and Top 100 Golf Shops award programs.

Private golf club experience is preferred, but not required. Qualified applicants must possess a strong work ethic, willingness to learn and be self-starters with a desire to achieve long term success in the golf business. Compensation - $40,000-$45,000 based upon experience.

The individual chosen for this position will be responsible for:

• Merchandising the golf shop; creating new displays, keeping inventory levels of stock items in stock at all times, keeping the golf shop neat and clean.
• Having good product knowledge of all soft goods and accessories in the golf shop.
